I first came across Freedom Japanese Market’s Subscription Box when I was browsing the lovely Boxnip’s blog. Sarah is UK’s Queen of subscription boxes her reviews are detailed and her blog is amazing, it is well worth a read.
Hubby and I have visited Japan a few times, we have travelled to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagano and Kanazawa. We absolutely love the country and its culture and hope to go back there in the near future. This sub box gives us a little bit of that Japanese nostalgia and satisfies our urge to travel back there for a little while longer.
I purchased the August Sample box which consisted of 14 delicious snacks varying from sweet to savory and everything in between. My origami of the month was a Happi which are traditional Japanese coats, usually only worn during festivals.
Listed below are the items that I received and how they were described in the content sheet.
Caramel Corn
Godzilla Butamen
Ice Ramune
Hya-To Suru Candy
Salad and Natto Umaibo
Diamond Ring Candy
Rich Butter Chips
Okonomiyaki Senbei
HimoHimo Candy
Candy Money
Baked Corn Crackers
Fruit Ramune – Bonus Item
Notes on my top 3 picks. I found the Caramel Corn very morish, they were sweet and crunchy every bite was better than the next. Godzilla Butamen is a delectable ramen dish which had just the right amount of heat and spice for my taste buds. I saved the best for last, Ice ramune is a bizarre type of lolly which is quick dissolving and cold on the tongue, they hurt so good!
Freedom Japanese Market is a family owned business who provide high quality traditional and kawaii snacks. Each box comes filled to the brim with delicious goodies, as well as an itemized list describing the contents in full detail and a handmade origami gift which is my absolute favourite. They offer free shipping worldwide with all orders going through Paypal for 100% security. You can choose between 3, 6 and 12 month packages or try a one-off sample box which makes a great gift idea for anyone that is hard to buy for.

I have wanted to try some of these things, but I love the Ramune Candies. There is a store near me that sells them and I always get them. Also The Ring pop looking one looks like fun! I may have to look into getting this box. Seems like a good way to try new things!
