A good night’s sleep and healthy lifestyle is something I aim for, but occasionally things pop up and you have a few late nights and cheeky snacks. When that happens and I wake up looking like something the cat has dragged in, I reach for my luxury Indio skin care products. I know they’re effective and using them cheers me up, here’s a little about the brand. Indio skincare is Australian owned and is specifically designed to match the lifestyles of people living within the unique climate of Australia and New Zealand. They cater for all skin types and skin concerns, there is something for everyone so let’s go through the items I have enjoyed using.
The Rundown
Cleanse – Exfoliating deep cleanser
This soothing gentle cleanser has a creamy consistency and is very smooth and hydrating on the skin. You apply it to your face and massage with your fingers in circular motions then remove with a clean damp face cloth. My skin feels softer, clearer and my pores look less noticeable after just a week of daily use.

Indio cleanse is a gentle exfoliating cream cleanser, with intrinsic hydrating benefits. It contains a balanced blend of alpha hydroxy acids (Lactic & Glycolic) to aid the sloughing off of spent skin cells, pollutants and makeup, whilst facilitating hydration and skin softening. Sodium lactate balances pH and calendula has skin soothing and wound healing properties. Leaving the skin, clean, refreshed and rejuvenated.
When: Morning, (cleanse once) and evening (cleanse twice)
Application: Apply onto dry face. Work into the skin and remove with a clean face cloth, then rinse well with warm water.
Key ingredients: Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Lavandula Officinalis Flower Oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E).
Skin Tonic
I use this toner after I cleanse my face to ensure that I have removed every last trace of my makeup. I have to say I’m completely sold on the spray bottle packaging, I find it very convenient and there is less wastage. My face soaks it all up and it feels very hydrated, refreshed and clean.

Indio skin tonic is an essential component of every skin care routine. A light naturally preserved toner to refresh, tone and enrich the skin with moisture binding minerals. Its blend of botanical plant extracts such as aloe leaf juice and witch hazel, soothe and nourish, making it gentle enough for all skin types.
When: Morning and night after cleansing or cleansing and exfoliation. Can be used during the day as a hydrating mist, when applied from a spritz bottle.
Application: Apply liberally morning and night, with either a cotton pad or from a spritz bottle, over the face, neck and deccolletage after cleansing and/or exfoliating.
Key ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract: Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Flower Extract, Glycine, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Inositol, Allantoin, Lactic Acid.
Eye rise
This eye cream comes in a tube with a slim nozzle. It has a smooth, non-greasy formula that is tinted. It makes a great base for your concealer as it evens out the skin tone around the eyes and hydrates and soothes the eye area stopping it from looking tired. A little goes a long way, you apply the cream using tapping motions until it absorbs into the skin.

A tinted anti-ageing eye cream, for day use, with inbuilt sunscreen and mineral powder reflectors that provide concealing properties and hide imperfections. Combining the power of polypeptides (Dipalmitoyl Hyroxproline) with premium humectants to draw moisture into the delicate eye tissue, whilst plumping out fine lines. Enriched with Squalane, Shea Butter and Soya Bean to protect the lipid/moisture barrier.
Skin: For all skin types. Especially good for those concerned with darkness around the eyes.
When: Mornings due to the presence of UV protectants
Application: Using tiny sweeping motions, apply gently from the corner of the outer eye towards the nose. Apply around the complete boney orbit of the eyes. Close the eyelids, press the remaining product onto the lids. Excellent directly under makeup.
Key ingredients: Squalane, Matricaria Flower Extract, Green Tea Extract, Shea Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Sterol, Tocopheryl Acetate.
Vitamin C Serum

It is the most stable, potent and penetrative form of oil soluble Vitamin C currently available. With 12% Vitamin C mixed with an abundance of Omega 3 & 6, derived from Soya Beans, Safflower Seed, Linoleic Acid, and Vitamin A & E. This formulae performs to maximum benefit. Key ingredients: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Linoleic Acid, Tocopheryl, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A).
Ultimate Defence SPF 50+ Sunscreen Cream
Sunscreen is an essential part of my life, I wear it on my face daily. It leaves a white cast at first but blends really easily. It’s fast absorbing, non greasy and the best thing about it is, it doesn’t make my face break out. The scent is odorless and the texture is that of a very light lotion, it’s great to apply under makeup (avoiding the eye area).

Indio Ultimate Defence SPF50+ is a light weight high performance antioxidant sunscreen cream that provides broad spectrum protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Rich with vitamin E to keep the skin nourished soft and supple. A non whitening quickly absorbed moisturiser, and a key product to help prevent premature skin ageing and sunspots.
When: Morning after moisturising, and/or over exposed areas 15-20 minutes before sun exposure. Repeat after swimming or toweling.
Application: Apply a generous amount over the face, neck and decolletage.
Key ingredients: Octocrylene, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Vitamin E, Phenylbenzimidazole Sulphonic Acid.
Complete Perfection Cover Cream SPF 20
I am very picky when it comes to CC Creams as I have had bad experiences in the past. I find most of them tend to appear very oily on my face however I straight out love this cream. It has ideal coverage, it evens out my skin tone and it dries on matte. I’m a bit tan at the moment so the color (Beige) looks very natural and blends perfectly on my skin. It covers all imperfections and it comes with an SPF of 20. YAY!

A multi action high performance CC cream with SPF 20 broad spectrum protection that perfectly conceals uneven complexion, hyperpigmentation, redness and sun damage. Skin is left soft, fresh, even toned & with a flawless matt finish. Available in 4 colours.
Skin: Normal to dry skin types. Perfect for skin showing signs of redness and pigmentation, or dullness.
Available in four shades, so the cream is suitable for a broad range of skin tones.
When: Morning or evening after preferred indio serum.
Application: Apply to the face, neck and décolletage with gentle massage movements until a smooth even coverage is achieved. For very dry skin add indio moisturiser of choice prior to applying the complete perfection cream. Mineral foundation powder can be applied on top for fuller coverage. Use tonic spritz to finish and to lock and seal in moisture.
Active Ingredients: Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxy-cinnamate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dicaprylyl Ether, Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline, Tocopherol, Beta-Sitosterol.
