I am always on the quest for the best skin care products, I have come across many that promise the same thing however I am now looking at the ingredients rather than the packaging. I was very delighted to be sent the BV Pure Perfection Cream Travel Pack from Abeeco. It is a household name in New Zealand and the company specialises in natural health and beauty products which are made from high quality ingredients. The formula includes Seafill from Marine Plankton, White Water Lily, Manuka Honey and New Zealand Bee Venom. Yes you read it correctly 🙂 Bee Venom is used to trick the skin into thinking it has been stung, causing the body to produce collagen and elastin. I have been using this product for about 2 weeks now, so let’s get buzzing with this review.
The Packaging – The box has a shiny glossy slightly embossed print. Inside it contains 12 sachets that are the perfect size to pop in your handbag or makeup bag. They are very convenient for on the go however the sachets don’t have a pre cut side so they don’t tear easily. There is enough product in each sachet for two treatments, one in the morning and one at night.
The Product – It is a very rich thick texture, the cream glides on smoothly and doesn’t have a greasy residue. It absorbs fast if you apply the right amount. I have used it as a day and night cream, also as a primer (a little goes a long way). My makeup appears smoother and wont budge for the rest of the day.
The Scent – It has a very subtle floral, honey smell which is very pleasant.
The Verdict – It is true what they say, the effect is immediate, 10 minutes into the application you begin to notice a warm, slightly tingling sensation on the face. 5 minutes later my skin looks brighter, fresher and supple. I don’t have any wrinkles so I can’t say I noticed anything in that regard however it is a remarkable moisturiser and I’m calling it the mini face lift because my skin felt tighter and appears more youthful. No bees were harmed during the writing of this review 🙂
The Price – $32.50 AUD. You can purchase your BV Pure Perfection Cream online or visit their website to find your nearest stockist.
It is recommended to do a patch test on your arm – avoid completely if you are allergic to bee venom.

Ingredients over packaging really is the only way to be sure, isn’t it. I can’t believe they use bee venom! So cool!
